Those of an older age may remember that this was a popular song way back when but then many of you don't go back that far. We have been able to enjoy our screened in porch the past several weeks. Earlier we put down indoor/outdoor carpet on the floor and is so much nicer. Just hope it lives up to its guarantee. One night Kathie was here with Stratton and it was raining and he loved the sound of the rain while we were sitting out there. Last Saturday around noon we drove out to Trail of Tears State Park and had lunch with Kathie and Calvin and some friends of theirs. Stopped at Subway for their 12 inch subs for $5.00. Nothing better and cheaper. Our days come and go and we wonder where they went. I am putting sequins and beads on Chrismons for the Christmas tree at my church. Never thought I could do it but have found it relaxing. We have a couple of two and three day trips planned mid month. June 16th and 17th going to St. Louis to attend Opera St. Louis at Webster U. We are not big opera fans but have found these very good and the theater where they are held I do not think there is a bad seat. The costuming is outstanding as well as the music. The next week we will drive to Branson for three days and enjoy a couple of shows there. We do enjoy a wide variety of music but maybe not some of the more modern style.
We do miss the rainy evenings with the back door open and listening to the pitter-patter, or sometimes thunder of the rain coming down. Spring is one of the best times to live in the midwest. Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI loe a good rain. We open the windows and turn everything else off cuz it happens so infrequently out here. Have fun at your shows!
