Sun shinning brightly now but mid afternoon had a nice shower. We sat down under the porch on the swing and enjoyed the rain. Good for the flowers and grass. We are delivering Meals on Wheels for a couple of days this week for my church which does it three times a year. I am in charge of getting people to help and went pretty good this time but did have a couple of last minutes cancellations due to problems but usually have a couple of good subs who can take over in a pinch. Yesterday we celebrated with Anna again for her 5th birthday at Beth's Dad's. We had also had dinner with them last Tuesday when we were in St. Louis which was her birthday. Kathie went back to work at Trail of Tears over the week end. They took the camper out there and stayed overnight. Good thing is she doesn't have to drive back in to Cape after the park closes. On Wednesday we are driving to Branson for a couple of nights. We haven't been over there for several years and guess we just decided it was time to check it out again. Staying at a B&B close to downtown area but looks great from the pictures on their website. Love the flower pictures that you have been taking Dan. Really some unusual ones that we don't have around here. Have many, many volunteer impatients coming up and when it cools off this evening going to transplant quite a few to the north side of the garage. We had them take over most of the north side of the house last year. About all for now.
Aunt Marge,
ReplyDeleteI love reading your post and feel like I know what is going on more!! I miss not coming out to the midwest - but not the weather:) Maybe next summer we will be able to get out that way and see you and Tim and family. Being pregnant - I really don't want to drive that far out:) Plus summer is Dean's busiest time! Love you!
We to miss those summer showers, sitting on the back porch and listening to the rain on the roof. It is a comforting sound. It is so different in Las Vegas that sometimes I feel like I'm in a foreign country. I'm sure that's because we lived in the midwest for so many years. Enjoy the beauty.
