Outstanding Visit

We had a wonderful visit, short but sweet, with Jeri, Stacy, Cooper and Campbell. They arrived mid afternoon on Tuesday and was non stop talk plus eating and just having a good time together catching up. Casey was out of town so she didn't get to share the fun. Kathie was off work on Wednesday and she kept Stratton on Tuesday night so she brought him over on Wednesday and the three little ones had a great time together. Think even Campbell had fun with all the attention. She is a sweet baby and a beautiful smile. John took Jeri and Stacy on his special tour of Cape and Jeri was amazed of all the changes that had taken place since she was here last. Late afternoon we went to the fairly new Conservation center as it is very good and Cooper seemed to enjoy it. We told him we would see some animals but think he thought more zoo type animals. There are several stuffed ones but also snakes, turtles and fish displays. There is an area outside where there are bird feeders so we got to see the birds feeding and also a large hawk was sitting up in the tree watching all the goings on. One of the employees told us it has gotten used to people so doesn't seem to be afraid. Everyone was here for dinner on Wednesday and I had made a rhubarb pie for desert. Was even Iowa rhubarb. Stacy said she didn't think she had ever eaten it but knew someone who has it. Think they all enjoyed it and especially with a scoop of ice cream. Thursday morning we bid the family adieu and were on their way to Des Moines to meet up with a couple of Stacy's sister-in-laws if I remember right and they also made contact with Tim and Lonita and hoped to see them. We loved having them here and always know that if anyone is out in this area we have room to bed you down and promise you a good time. Just let us know and we will welcome you with open arms.

  1. Sounds like a really fun day with family. Tim indicated they were going to try to hook up on Saturday. After all the will only be 5 miles from his home.

  3. Hey Marge. The blog looks great. I tried to send you an email today, but it looks like I have an old email address for you. Just wondering when you would like to have a follow-up class.
